4/2/11

Wow, didn't realize that much time has gone by! I have fished the first 2 Elites, and the 2nd Southern open. I have continued with great success! I have updated OD on Bass for Harris and St. John's. I am back on the road for another 3 weeks for 2 more Elites and the PAA All-Star.

1/26/11

I had a wonderful first tournament of the year at Lake Toho.  This is the start of the year I have had in a while! Also, I have a great interview on bassmaster.com under Bass Reporters notebook.....check it out if you can!

1/11/11

That was weird to write the date. I am leaving Thursday for my first tournament of the year, Southern Open 1 at Lake Toho. Going to Florida in January is almost always nice. Having a good tournament would be a great way to start the year. I am also going to do some pre-practice on Harris Chain and St. Johns river. I believe Toho will be some good fishing!

12/1/10

We had our first REAL snow of the year today. It flurried for a couple of hours! WOOHOO! We don't get much real snow here until Jan. or Feb. The PAA show from Norman was on a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome! If you scroll to Lake Norman Day 3 you can see me catch some nice un's at http://fishpaa.com/fishpaa-television/

11/16/10

Fished a lot this past week. The fall fishing is really getting going. It has been a few weeks behind, but it is getting close. I took a guide client to Cherokee Saturday and we had a decent day. Caught a fair number, and also caught 2 real good fish. Also went to Douglas Sunday before church, we only caught 3 but they were a 4.5, a 3, and a 5 pounder. Some of the best fish I've caught on Douglas in a while. I also put up a new fall fishing tip. If you have any questions feel free to send me an email.

11/2/10

It has been such a nice fall here in East Tennessee! I hope everyone else has been out fishing as much as I have.

8/18/10

I hope you enjoy the newest tournament results and pictures! Thanks for visiting and enjoy your summer.  Take a kid fishing.

7/24/10

With all the fun summer stuff going on I haven't been in much of a mood to get online.  I'm sure all fishermen can relate to that.

5/18/10

Getting settled in but have to leave again Friday. Abbie is not going to be happy! The Bass Open at Lewis Smith was a success. Also we found out just before the tournament started that Bass Pro Shops partnered with BASS as the title sponsor of the Opens. Check out "OD on Bass" for the report from this event.

5/1/10

Jacob Hearon and I fished the Tim Irwin/ Food City Benefit Tournament today. We had a good bag of fish at 16.30. This was enough for 5th place, 17.81 was first. We were both happy to finish in the top 5 and get a plaque. This is a personal best for Jacob and myself in this annual event. Thanks again Jacob for fishing with me in this event, hopefully we can make it a tradition!

4/28/10

I had an amazing guide trip on the Holston River today! Jerry Cochran was alot of fun to have in the boat. There were also a few fish too. We caught somewhere between 100-150 smallmouth bass. It was amazing to say the least. The size of fish we caught was as good as anytime that I've had on this river. We caught two 17"s, an 18", two 19"s, a 20", and a 21". The majority of the big ones were caught on top water! What a day!

4/25/10

Resting up after Loudoun Tellico. It was a success but when you are fishing at home you want nothing less than a win. It could have been worse, it could have been better. 28th is not that bad and this finish brought me back up to the lower 50s in the standings. I'm already in the FWC but it is always a nice accomplishment to qualify through the tour points. Check the "OD on Bass" page for my details on this event.

4/7/10

I got my stories done yay!!!! Be sure to check them out. I had a great day on the lake guiding on Cherokee today. We had a decent day other than losing two good baits, one to a striper and one to a 4 pound smallmouth! I have started guiding some and really like it. If you would like a trip just shoot me an email and we will see if we can hook up a day or two. I'll be getting a page up soon with all of the details.

4/3/10

Sorry to have been so long on updating my site. It has been a very busy month and a half! I'll be putting up my stories from my past few events. Be sure to go to OD on Bass and check them out.

2/16/10

Getting the itch! Ready to go practice Cherokee Friday for the BAIT TN-1 Tournament. Looks like it will be tough but I'm ready for a tournament again.

2/12/10

Just getting settled back in from the disaster that was the Red River. It was kind of bitter sweet that the tournament was cancelled. It was the right thing to do, I feel, because in three days of 150 boats on that water something bad would have happened. I would love to fish there, it seemed like a great fishery. Maybe next year under better conditions! I did not get my tournament fix so look out BAIT on Cherokee Feb. 20! Also the Nitro Z-9 was wonderful to fish out of. It has an amazing amount of storage and fishes great. I was very much looking forward to blowing the doors off of those Rangers!!!!

1/30/10

Just updated my schedule! PAA sites have been announced and the first tournament is on Cherokee! This is very exciting because I love this lake.

1/17/10

Just getting home from the Big O! We are glad to be home but sorry to leave the warm weather. I had a great tournament there. To read the whole story go the OD on Bass page and click on the link.

Another one of the good things I've worked on has came through! I recently signed a rod sponsor Citrus Stick. My good friend Bill Cooper helped start this company early last year and they have some fantastic rods. Go to citrusstick.com and mention my name in the comment part of the order form if you heard about them here!

1/05/10

Hopefully this is the first of many things to come! I re-signed my sponsorship with Day's Auto and Boat Sales in Frankfort, KY. Bill (Big Stick) Day has been a great friend and supporter this past year. If you need a used truck to pull that boat give them a call or visit daysautosales.com.

12/30/09

I am hearing some positive things in the fishing world so everyone keep your fingers crossed and praying hard. Just staying positive goes a long way. I have some good news already that I cant release yet, hopefully soon.

12/20/09

I am very happy to have a website of my own to be able to promote my sponsors and make new friends along the way.  My wife is behind all of this and I am very proud. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. God Bless.
